"How A CraigsList Ad Can Bring More Business To Your Store"

Dear Friend:

About 4 years ago, I saw an ad on CraigsList advertising an antique roll top desk. The person who wrote the ad seemed nice, when I called to inquire about it. The desk was right near my house at his antique shop.

Everything started off easily enough - I got the information on where I should go to look at the desk and what I should bring for payment if I was interested in purchasing it, and then as I went to hang up the phone. The guy on the other end was a bit "Chatty" and wouldn't let me get off the phone that easy. He asked me a few questions - where I was from (probably because of my Missouri accent), what got me interested in antiques, and so forth.

Then... he asked me what I did for a living.

At that point of my career I'd usually just tell people I helped local businesses get found online and leave it at that.

However, this guy (his name was Dave) didn't respond like most people did -- he started asking questions.

"You know how to get traffic to websites?"
"You know about SEO?"
"You know how I can get someone to sign up to a newsletter?!"

It turns out that not only did Dave run his antique store, but he also had a small business in the sport fishing industry --- and he was dying to figure out how to get more customers.

At this point, although he seemed very nice, I was antsy to get off the phone. I certainly had my share of explaining what I do to family members, and it usually ended up going nowhere -- fast. It didn't dawn on me to charge for my knowledge at that point, because to be honest, I really wasn't confident that I knew all that much.

Sure, I'd made some money online - but I certainly didn't think what I had was marketable - at all. In some weird way I considered my successes "flukes"... not necessarily repeatable.

Dave was persistent though, and he asked me if I could meet him for lunch - his treat.

I don't know why I even said yes, but I did. We met at a Perkos the next day and I had made a new customer from responding to an ad on CraigsList.

So you say whats that got to do with my report on "How To Advertise On CraigsList"?

Here I know all about how to get your web site found with SEO on the first page of Google and the other search engines and I had totally overlooked a method of free advertising for local businesses.

CraigsList

  • This report will show you the exact steps to register an account with CraigsList.
  • And then post your ad for your shop and what ever you want to sell.

Sorry I can't give any refunds you see I am only charging you a $1. So the choice is yours stop on your way to work and get yourself a cup of coffee or spend the $1 and learn how to place an ad on CraigsList. That dollar spent could generate enough traffic to never have to pay for coffee again.

After you get your report take a moment to give me your name and email so I can send you the link to the next report I am writing about some things you can do to improve your ad on CraigsList. I plan to keep the price low on it also.

Thanks,
